Transformation, metamorphosis, dreams, emotions.
Using the eclecticism of Mifur fashion, the International Fur and Leather Exhibition presents the thousand faces of the unique and only must have: fur.
A new image has been developed thanks to perceptions that mix and combine different scenarios: for a new A/W season with new creative and visionary influences that feel young, modern, contemporary. A multilayered reality in a changing panorama between past and future, that simply wants to be itself.
From March 3-6, pavilions 14 and 18 of the Fiera Milano Rho trade fair complex will host Mifur, the world’s most important showcase for Fur and Leather fashion, turning the spotlight on young international talents and great names in fur. There will be two off-site events in the city: the REMIX International Competition for young designers, which will close the first day of the exhibition, and the March 4 fashion show, featuring a selection of brands shown at the Exhibition that sum up the autumn/winter offerings for 2010-2011.
The 15th Mifur – the International Fur and Leather Exhibition – will take place from 3 to 6 March in the Fiera Milano Rho trade fair complex, at the same time as Micam, Mipel and Mido.
The Exhibition 20,000 m² of exhibition space, more than 200 exhibitors from the Italian and international fashion world, 8,000 visitors taking part from all around the world. Fur, as an infinitely versatile fabric, will reveal its thousand aspects in the new themed areas of the exhibition: B.box, Crossover, Glam Av., and K.Point.
B.box The world of leather garments, technical fabrics with borders and quilted jackets: fur is reinvented and mixed with other materials: young and sophisticated prêt-à-porter.
Crossover The utmost attention to quality, meticulous details and respect for tradition: these are the secrets of the greatest fur makers and their new collections. Glam Av. The companies registered with the Chamber of Fashion, the research, the new styles, and the mood for A/W 2010/11.
K.Point The heart of the exhibition, where it all begins: hides, accessories, buttons, models, machinery and tanning processing techniques.
